Year 7

Please find attached a selection of resources for your child to attempt. These are split into different areas of the maths curriculum. Students have already covered these topics in lessons and should be able to access them (they may need some assistance). Please allow them to attempt these independently, but you may help by showing them an example. The students know how to use number lines and 100 squares which are also available in the resources attached.

The sheets have a variety of different levels. Encourage your child to select one that they can achieve as independently as possible before moving on to a harder one. If they finish them all, the websites listed below will be able to provide more resources.

Everyday maths is great for the students. Please discuss time and money with them. If possible give them coins to pay with, make shopping lists with prices. Discuss more/less expensive/cheaper earlier/later before/after. All this language goes a long way to support your child in maths.

'Hit the Button' in particular is a useful game. The students are familiar with this.
