Resident ducklings!

Our annual duck-fest has arrived! Every year, we are given eggs by a local wildlife conservatory, along with specialist equipment to help us hatch and look after our new feathered friends. We keep and raise the ducklings for a few weeks, after which they are sent back to the wildlife centre where they live the rest of their lives in the wild.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn about nature first hand, as well as getting first-hand experience of looking after animals. The ducklings also provide a brilliant therapeutic experience for anyone having a tough day.

We are delighted to say that this year they have all hatched - watch our video of the first one! More pictures to follow soon!
